Letter to Family, November 10, 2014

Hey yall,
This week was a pretty good one. On Monday last week we went to a gymnastics place in Hampton and played some extreme dodge all. Whoever said missions aren't fun they were crazy. It was really fun, we took one of the priests with us so he could be around missionaries other than us. He goes out with us a lot actually and is planning on going on his mission next summer. On Tuesday we went over an saw an investigator who had been gone for a month. He was out working in his front yard. When I say yard I mean huge yard. I never knew till now but all of the trees in the front of his house are pecan trees. We helped him pick pecans for like an hour. Fresh Pecans are the best thing ever by the way. That night we went and did role plays with the young men. Its crazy how much you role play as missionaries. Its really not as fun as it sounds though. Wednesday we tracted a little bit more then we went and helped a less active move some stuff into a storage unit. Thursday we had weekly planning and conference call with the president. It is crazy to think im two weeks away from being done with training. Im ready to be too cause its so hard to stay inside basically all morning. We taught 4 lessons on Thursday and got really wet in a North Eastern rain storm. It was crazy! I had never seen so much rain. Friday we had Zone meeting. It was the best meeting I had eve been part of. This month we are talking about the role of the Holy Ghost in conversion. The last half hour we sang hymns, bore testimonies, and then as a district we knelt and offered a prayer to our loving Heavenly Father. The spirit was no doubt in my mind there. After that I went on exchanges with Elder Brown in Yorktown. We taught four more lessons and went to a pet store to buy a trantuala. I bet you can never guess what we were going to do with it...... eat it!! We didn't do it though because it was way too expensive. Im pretty sure it would of helped me get over my fear of spiders though. Saturday we had a really good stake priesthood meeting. It focused on trying to do the little things to strengthen our family relationships and our relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus. I know that my Savior lives and that he paid for all of my sins, pain, sorrow, and knows exactly what I go through. I know that if you will do what we did in zone conference, and let the spirit guide your lives. It will become a habbit to do those little things because it is those little things that will lead us back to our Father in Heaven. I love all yall and I pray that you will feel of our Saviors love also. Pray to our Heavenly Father daily and always remember that He knows you and what is best for you. Have a good week yall.

My week was pretty good. Did you get to go to the temple to? How was it if you did? Sounds like you had a busy week. Mine was fairly busy too. Bethany sounds really excited about the missionary thing. I think that that is an awesome idea. I might have to mention it to my ward council. I think they said we might do something like that in December. I would love some under armour leg. My legs are really the only thing that get cold. I can get a scarf and gloves here. I really don't know what else I would like. Maybe a few shirts. The same neck size but smaller ones. I have gotten skinny but not really lost much weight. Ill have to get the exact size for you later. You know what would be really awesome? I really need a GPS. I get lost out here. I might get to drive here soon and that would be nice. If not I can buy a cheap one here somewhere. How is everything going at church? Are you teaching a lot? You are a great teacher by the way. I got to teach Gospel Principles yesterday. I started crying when I was talking about how being away from my family has made me appreciate the fact that families are eternal. I miss all of you everyday. I love that quote though. Missionary= someone who leaves their family for 2 years so others can be with theirs for eternity. If anything I have learned what you and dad thought when I wasn't doing what was right. We both know that I wasn't always the best child. I love it our here though. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and I really don't want to go out. When I go out and come back at night and go to bed I think to my self. Im really glad I went out today. Its really been one of the hardest things I have ever done but when I feel the love of Heavenly Father and our Savior it jeeps me going because I want others to feel that too. Thank you so much for raising me in the gospel! I love you so much mom and I miss you more than anything but I look forward to the day when I get to give you a hug and say we made it through mom. :) Have a great week! Thank you for everything and I love you!

Halloween, Missionaries dressed up as CIA Agents.

Recent letters from Elder Jacob Bullinger November 3, 2014

This week was pretty good. Pretty long one though. We did less tracting which I'm perfectly okay with ha ha. My companion and I dressed up as CIA agents for Halloween. Ill send pictures too. Halloween was different. We had to stay in our apartment the whole evening and we were able to pass out candy but no one came. So, I have candy now ha ha That's awesome the Bishop and Maren are living there now. I think that's so cool! You and Maren can hang out more now. Was it sad to see Bret and Bridget leave? I hope they like it there. Its been pretty cold here for the last few days. Last night actually I was wearing a long sleeve shirt, sweater, and my coat. I guess its supposed to be a fairly cold winter here this year. I'm not looking forward to that because it was still 50 degrees last night and I was freezing. The work was a little bit slower this week again. We have been spending a lot of time with less actives due to the fact most of our investigators were gone forever. I hope this week will pick back up. I have like three more weeks with my companion then he will most likely get transferred. We still get along even though I get annoyed sometimes lol  How is Grandma Winstead doing? I have been praying so much for her. Oh I took a picture of our fridge to prove I do eat. We are just always on the move so I burn through it so fast. It seems like I am always hungry though lol the members here are great with feeding us and if you can find a video from Saturday you will see that I am getting fed ha ha Well I Better write dad. I love you so much mom and I'm eternally grateful the Heavenly Father gave me such an awesome mother!! I cant wait for Christmas day so I can Skype with you. I miss you so much everyday but this has been the best thing I have ever done and I'm thankful for you and dad helping me to get to this point and never giving up on me. I love you!!
