It has been a long time since I posted anything!

It has been awhile since I posted any news, I think in the last time I posted was February of 2010.  Sad, huh?  I should take after my daughter and post regularly.  My life is just not that exciting though, I seem to do the same thing day after day. :)  Well, since I last posted, we have had a lot happen.  Our daughter Brandy got married in May of last year to Mark Gillies.  They were married in the Billings Montana LDS Temple and are now living in Laramie Wyoming going the school.  We found out we are going to be grandparents,  Charlene and Matthew are expecting their baby boy in May of 2011.  Only a couple months left until she has her baby.  I have already gotten into the "grandma" mode.  I can't pass a baby section in a store without stopping and needless to say I always come home with something new for the baby.  This little boy is going to be well set.  His Grandma enjoys spoiling him already!  Sam is living in Laramie and going to school.  She is doing well and we are very proud of her.  She has lots of neat adventures ahead of her and we look forward with anticipation to seeing all the neat things that will happen.  She continues to amaze me she is such a strong person with a fun personality.  Jacob is a junior in high school this year,  he recently finished up basketball season.  The season came with lots of highs and lows, but he made it through and has come out a winner in my book.  Bethany is in junior high this year and she will be a teenager in a few weeks. Whew!  Another teenager, where did the time go.  It seems like yesterday that my kids were all little.  I love my kids so much and I am very proud of all of them and their accomplishments.  They are some of my best friends and I hope they can always feel like I am here for them to be their mom, friend, cheerleader, confidant, and supporter.  Bethany and I went to Mississippi in July of last year.  It was quite the adventure!  We drove to Laramie and Sam took us to the Denver airport.  It was fun to travel with Bethany, this was her first time to fly and she was to excited.  We flew into New Orleans, LA where we rented a car to drive the Jackson, MS.  This is where the adventure began (for me anyway) I was so nervous about getting lost, but we had purchased a GPS system to bring with us.  That little piece of technology was amazing!  We could even get off the right road and it would get us back to where we needed to be.  We had a fun time staying a my Grandma's house in Jackson.  We also traveled to see my mother, stepdad, sister and her family.  It was a really fun trip and we will never forget it.  Last year also brought some sad events into our lives.  Darrell's dad had been diagnosed with colon cancer in 2009 and last year he lost his battle with with the terrible disease.  We will miss him everyday, but know that we will be together with him again some day.  He was such a good example to our family and the many lessons he taught (whether they were known or just by the way he lived his life) will always be treasured lessons.  Well, I started out my New Year on the fitness bandwagon again.  Hopefully this will not be a failed attempt as in years past.  I am trying the Nutrisystem Weightloss program and trying to workout everyday.  I purchased the Zumba dvd's  but I have yet to figure out the steps.  My lasted try was the P90X fitness program, I like it but, boy it really kicks my butt. Which is probably what I need.  I most enjoy walking and I still do that everyday too.  I hope along with my new fitness resolution the I can do better in posting on my blog.  I think it is a fun and worthwhile thing to do.  Like journaling only more fun.  Have a wonderful day!!!!!!  Smile and the world smiles with you!!!!!
