Our trip to Las Vegas!
We woke up at 2:00 am on Thursday January 21, and left for Vegas. We had good weather until we got to Evanston, Wy. From there on it was either slick roads, snow or rain. When we were driving through the canyon in Park City, Utah it was very slick. In fact there were a couple of cars off the road, one was flipped over on it's top in between the two sections of highway. (Scary) By the time we got to Southern Utah the snow had turned to rain. In some spots it was coming down quiet hard. We arrived in Vegas at about 4:00 pm. By the time we found Eric and Amy's house it was 4:30. Jessie was home so we were able to get into their house. They have a beautiful home. Amy got home about half an hour after we got there and Eric got home soon after. We had dinner and then we stayed up talking until about 11:00 or 11:30. I was so tired that I could hardly keep my eyes open. (long day) They next morning Amy and the kids had school and Eric had a meeting to go to, so Darrell and I just hung out at their house. Eric got back at about 10:00 am and we went downtown to look around. We first went to a casino to walk around there were some pretty fancy people there. I saw one lady all dressed up like she was going out dancing or something. Then we left there and we decided to go eat lunch. We went to eat Mexican food (which I love.) It was very good! Then we decided to go to the Luxor Hotel the "Body Exibit" was there and Darrell wanted to see that. We found out that it was cheaper to see two exibits so we went to the Body Exibit and Titanic Exibit. They were both very interesting. When we got done we went back to Eric and Amy's house to get our suitcases. Darrell and I had reservations to stay downtown for the night. Eric took us to our hotel, we stayed at the MGM Grand hotel. We got checked into our room and then we went and walked around on the Vegas strip. There is alot to see down there, and not all of it good. It was fun, we walked through several hotels and casinos and many of them had shops in them that we walked through. We walked quiet a way down the street and then we crossed the streeet and walked back towards our hotel. We stopped and ate dinner on the way back. The next morning we got up at about 8:00 am and went downstairs to have breakfast at the hotel buffet. It was very good! Then we called Eric and he came and picked us up. We went back to their house for a little while and then Amy, the girls and I went shopping and Darrell and Eric went to see the Hoover Dam. Then we met for dinner at a hamburger place. Then we took the girls back home and changed clothes and went to see the show "Blue Man Group" it was being held at the Venitian Hotel. We walked through the casino and found were the theater was at. Eric and Amy went up to the front to pick up our tickets and we stayed in line. We didn't have to stand in line too long and then we finally got in. The show was amazing! It was these three men who were painted bright blue and they did a comedy/music act. It was very good and entertaining and we really enjoyed it. The show lasted a couple of hours and then we went downstairs in the hotel the the shop area, they had a gondola ride down there it was pretty cool. We stood and watched it for a while and then we went to a souviner shop so I could get something for Jacob and Missy. Then we left and went back to their house. We stayed up for a little whle and then we all went to bed. The next morning I got up a 4:30 and got ready for us to leave. We left at about 20 til 6 am. Our trip home was good we didn't have bad roads until we got to South Pass and back into Wyoming. We got back home at about 7:30 pm. We had a great time in Vegas with Eric and Amy and it was good to get away just the two of us for awhile.

This weekend was fun. Charlene and Matthew came over on Wednesday night to stay. This is the first time they have ever stayed with us ( because we didn't have an extra bed before) On Thursday Charlene, Sam and I went to lunch at the Chinese restaurant in Greybull and then they droped me off at the gym while they went to Napa to see Charlene's old boss. Sam had to go back to Laramie on Friday, (sad) and then Charlene and I went to the gym. Friday afternoon Bethany and I went to Jacob's game. He played really well and Burlington won the game against Rocky. On Saturday Darrell, Charlene, Bethany and I went to another game of Jacob's in Greybull, it was a good game. They won that game too. Then that night we went out to dinner with Charlene and Matthew to celebrate Matthew's getting into Vet School. We went to Lisa's Restaurant in Greybull. It was Yummy! Charlene and Matthew left bright and early Sunday morning. We will miss them. I really enjoyed having all of the kids home for Christmas it was a fun time.

Christmas 2009
It was so fun to have Christmas this year. Charlene came home the week before Christmas with Sam. We had so much fun! Brandy and Mark ( her boyfriend) got here on Tuesday. We all went to Billings on Wednesday to go Christmas shopping. We had lunch at Johnny Carinos, it was very yummy and then we hit the mall. I think we spent 4 hours at the mall. There were lots of people there it was crazy, but I loved it. I love shopping in all of the crowds it is just so festive! sometimes!! We went to Target and Costco and then we headed home. When we got home Charlene and Sam helped me wrap presents. Oh, before Brandy got home, Charlene and Sam also helped me move my bookcase downstairs and hang pictures on the wall in the diningroom. It looks really nice and I really appreciate their help. Darrell and I took Charlene back to Laramie on the Sunday before Christmas ( Matthew had to work on Christmas eve and the day after Christmas) We enjoyed spending some time with them. We exchanged our Christmas presents and went out to dinner at Applebees (yummy) and then we went back to their place and watched a movie.
