Well, it has been another long while since I have posted anything on here. since my last post, I have traveled to Mississippi and back and had a daughter graduate from High School, one come home for the summer and another turn 21. I guess that means I am getting older, but we won't talk about that. Summer is finally here and boy some days it seems to hit with a vengence, like today it is hot, hot, hot!!! But anyway here are some pics from the past few weeks.

I can't believe it has been so long since I posted anything on here. Well, do I dare say that summer weather is finally here? I hope it is not just teasing us. It sure does feel like summer with the 80 degree weather the past couple of days. I am not complaining. I finally got my garden worked up last night, so I can plant my potatoes and carrots. Exciting, I love fresh garden produce, it is so much better than that stuff you buy at the store. Brandy is getting ready to graduate from high school. She only has a couple more weeks of school. I can't believe she is that old already or should I say I can't believe that we are that old. Time flies by so quickly. One day our kids were all little and now we will have one married and two in college (3 if you count Charly) I am very proud of the people that our girls grew up to be. They are all good women and they have always made me very proud to be their mom. Jacob and Bethany are very good kids also, and they are growing up so fast. With Mother's Day coming up soon I am reminded of the awsome responsibility the the Lord has given me to be a Mother. I am so thankful for my children and the lives that they lead. I hope that they all know how much they mean to me and their Dad.

Weekend in Laramie.

We wen't to Laramie this past weekend March 6-8. Brandy had her State indoor track competition. She did well! She medaled in the 800 meter run, which she took 5th place. She also ran the 1600 meter and the 400 meter race, which she did well in also. We stayed with Matthew and Charlene. Friday night we went out to dinner and had yummy mexican food. Sam went with us and we had a fun time. Saturday we woke up bright and early and went to the field house to watch Brandy run. Then we went back to Charlene and Matthews for lunch and that afternoon we went to the UW/New Mexico Men's Basketball Game. This was exciting. I have never been to a UW game and I had heard about how fun they are. It lived up to all that I had heard about them. Jacob really got into the game, he loves basketball anyway!! UW ended up losing the game, but it was a close game and very fun. That evening Matthew took us to the place that he works ( he feeds the animals for the State Vet Lab). That was interesting! The Goats were fun to see and there was a baby goat that Bethany held and it was cute. He also showed us some Buffalo and we got to see the UW mascot ( a pony named "Cowboy Joe") We came home on Sunday and made it home just in time for another storm to hit. We woke up to more snow and cold on Monday morning. We enjoyed our time in Laramie with Charlene, Matthew and Samantha. We are looking forward to next week when they get to come home for spring break.

Haven't done a new post in awhile!

I haven't been here in awhile. A whole month has gone by. Christmas came and went and we enjoyed having Charlene, Matthew and Sam home for a while. January brought too many cold temperatures! We went to some of Jake's ballgames and had fun cheering him on. Brandy went to North Dakota and Nebraska to run and did well there. In Chadron Nebraska she qualified for the Simplot Games (an invitation only meet in Idaho) in both her mile and 800 race. We are proud of her for getting her health back on track and doing so well with her running. Darrell gets to go to Washington, DC the last week of Feburary to talk to Congress about the Sugar industry. He is both excited and nervous about that. He went to DC once before with Charlene and Sam for a school trip and loved it. I have just been busy doing the same ole' routine of cleaning the house and cooking etc. ( A Woman's work is never done, it just keeps on going and going like the energizer bunny!} I have been trying to get back into the routine of excercising I have made it for 3-4 days a week. I have been wanting to go in the morning like I used to, but it is hard to get back into that habit. I sometimes I go later in the day. Well, that is just a little bit of what has been going on in our lives the past month. Not that exciting, but sometimes that is life for you.
